AUBURN, Ala. - A temporary road closure along South Gay Street between East Thach Avenue and Miller Avenue is expected Oct. 16-19 for water and sewer installation associated with the Auburn University East Thach Residence Hall project. Weather permitting, the work is scheduled for Oct. 16-18 from 5 a.m.-5 p.m. and Oct. 19 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Businesses and residences will remain accessible throughout the work.

Vehicles traveling north and south should utilize South College Street or Armstrong Street. Those traveling east and west should use East Thach Avenue or Miller Avenue. The sidewalk along the east side of South Gay Street will be open to pedestrians.

Traffic control measures will be in place to maintain traffic flow throughout the work. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes to reduce delays.
